Taking place on 6-8th November, the World Travel Market is one of the key exhibitions in the travel industry, taking place twice a year at London ExCeL in the Docklands. Everyone who is anyone in the travel sector either hires an exhibition stand for the three day event, or visits as a delegate.
The event has grown significantly over the years, first staring off life at London Olympia in West London in 1980, before increasing in size and changing venue to nearby Earls Court in 1992. It became so popular that only ten years later it outgrew the site and moved to its current home at London ExCeL, the largest exhibition centre in London.
About the World Travel Market
For many of those years, we at London Travel In have been helping exhibitors and delegates to attend the exhibition. Large groups often need to make advance arrangements that allow them to travel together and with the nearby Custom House Docklands Light Railway station often very busy, taking a safe and secure coach to London ExCeL has made many a journey that much bit easier.
Over the course of the three days, over 50,000 travel professionals will be in attendance, with almost 5,000 exhibiting destinations to cover. Industry buyers, reporting journalists, digital influencers, students and even tourism Ministers from all over the world will be present.
The size and scale of the event is something to behold, as it spreads across both sides of the ExCeL centre, making it one of the largest scale exhibition events held in the UK. On one side you find companies from the UK and the rest of Europe, covering everyone from start-up tech companies, to some of the largest travel agencies in the world. The opposite side of the centre contains organisations from the Middle East, Africa, Asia and the Americas, giving you full global coverage of the industry.
Making the most of your time at the show
Every type of travel service provider you think of will have an exhibition stand, eager to discuss new and exciting business opportunities. It’s easy to see how across its 37 years of existence it has generated over £2.8 billion of business contracts between attendees. By placing ourselves at the heart of the business community, we are able to play an integral part in bringing businesses together from all over the world. We tailor our services to meet your individual plans and itineraries, providing the sort of flexibility that has made London Travel In the first pick for many organisations in London.
Registration for the World Travel Market is still open and there will no doubt be spaces available for both exhibiting and attending as a free delegate. Hiring a coach is a popular way of travelling to and from London ExCeL during the course of the trade show, especially if you and your team have marketing materials and equipment that need transporting securely.
