England – Wales – Ireland – Scotland itinerary
Suggestions for groups
For travellers from Brazil or with other long-haul flights we’d like to suggest the bellow itinerary which offers insight into the most interesting areas of the two islands – Great Britain and the Island of Ireland.
We suggest these tours for around 20-25 persons, that is ideal for the visits included.
Please note that this is only a suggestion, if you’d like to arrange a tour like this that is great, but if you would prefer it could be tailor made according to your group’s specific requests.
Arrival to London Heathrow, transfer to your hotel combined with a short orientation tour of London, a panoramic tour to show the most iconic sights of London like the Knightsbridge area, Albert Hall, Hyde Park Corner, Trafalgar Square, Whitehall area with the Parliament Building and Westminster Abbey, the City of London with St Paul’s Cathedral and the Tower of London. The route and the sights included might vary according to the location of your hotel.
A full day tour of London to get a more in-depth information on the most famous and important buildings of the capital city and to have a chance to visit the Tower of London to see the Crown Jewels and learn about its long and fascinating history and visit Madame Tussauds for a fun hour or two to step into the movies with your favourite film starts or test your skills with your sports heroes.
In the morning drive to Windsor to have a walk in this lovely village and visit the Royal Residence of Windsor, the oldest and largest inhabited castle in the world. See the magnificent State Apartments and the beautiful Gothic St George’s Chapel, (unexpected closures possible).
The afternoon would be free for you to enjoy some time in London, do some shopping or visit some of the sights you’ve found the most interesting.
Depart from London and drive North with a stop in Oxford, the “city of dreaming spires” to have a walk and see some of the famous University buildings, one or two of the 38 colleges forming the university (from outside), then continue to Chester, a place with 2000 years of heritage, a lovely town to explore. A short walk here before getting to your hotel.
After departing from your hotel drive through North Wales to get to Holyhead for your ferry to Dublin. On the way stop in Conwy to see the castle, a medieval fortress built more than 700 years ago, now a World Heritage Site.
Board the ferry that would take you over to Dublin in Ireland. ON the way to your hotel a short orientation tour of Dublin.
Start the day with a short guided walk in Georgian Dublin and then continue the tour with driving to the Rock of Cashel, visit this spectacular group of Medieval buildings also known as the Cashel of Kings. After the visit continue South to your hotel in Killarney
Have a day trip to visit Muckross House, a beautiful Victorian mansion and its magnificent gardens, and then drive on one of the most well known scenic routes of Ireland, the Ring of Kerry and enjoy the magical scenery and beautiful landscapes. Overnight in Killarney
Drive first to the Cliffs of Moher, this fantastic natural attraction with a magical vista, then drive through the area called The Burren, a unique place with exposed limestone pavement fractures and the home of several herb and flower species. Visit the Burren Smokehouse to learn about salmon smoking and have a tasting too. Overnight in the Galway area
After leaving your hotel drive through the scenic Connemara region. This area is one of the most beautiful unspoilt places of Ireland, a place of contrasts, colours and wilderness. Visit the picturesque Kylemore Abbey with its lovely Gothic Church, see the lovingly restored rooms of the Abbey, walk in the garden.
Overnight in the Sligo area.
Depart from Sligo and drive East to Northern Ireland. Stop in Enniskillen located by Lough Erne, have a boat trip on the lake to see the ruins of the monastic settlement on Devenish Island (subject to the date of travel). Alternatively have a tour of Armagh, visit the Navan Centre where myth and reality meets and see St Patrick’s Cathedral founded by St Patrick himself in 445AD (Church of Ireland church).
Overnight in the Belfast area
In the morning tour Belfast to see the city centre, some of the famous political wall murals, the Old Cathedral Quarter and the Titanic Shipyards (no entrances). Then board the ferry that would take the group over to Scotland, drive to Glasgow or area for overnight
Travel North to the Highlands, visit the magnificent ruins of Urquhart Castle, take a short cruise on Loch Ness and then continue to Inverness or area for overnight
Have a short orientation tour in Inverness and then depart to go and visit Blair Castle to learn about the fascinating past of the Dukes and Earls of Atholl, then continue to Edinburgh for overnight.
In the morning half day tour of Edinburgh including visiting the Castle and having a walk on the Royal Mile.
Afternoon free to explore the city or do some shopping.
Leave Edinburgh to travel to the historic town of York. On the way stop in Jedburgh to see the ruins of the Abbey and in Durham to visit the famous Cathedral.
Overnight in the York area
Leave York to drive to London, on the way stop in Cambridge for a short walking tour to admire the beautiful architecture and the majestic college buildings.
Overnight in London
Stay in London, free time to explore the city or do some shopping. In the evening enjoy a farewell dinner, which could be either a dinner cruise on the Thames with a 4-course meal and live music, or a Medieval Banquet with dinner including wine and beer and medieval themed entertainment.
